Palmer Holland, a successful, growing, specialty chemical distributor had been in their previous office for 10 years and had outgrown it in size as well as culturally. The office space no longer supported their progressive, employee, team-centered philosophy.

Working with Palmer Holland in a search for a new office location, a decision was made to renovate a space in the same corporate office complex, moving from the third floor to the fourth floor.

Working in close collaboration with Palmer Holland, we created a space that matched all of Palmer’s objectives; a space that was forward thinking, fun, open, energetic, that fostered collaboration and teamwork, and a feeling of excitement in coming to work.

Workstation panels were kept low and private offices received full height glass partitions with sliding doors. From virtually anywhere in the space, one could see through to the outside, as well as make contact with fellow workers. Collaboration areas played a big part the design incorporating Steelcase’s Mediascape conferencing technology.
