Cavitch, one of Cleveland’s oldest and most prestigious law firms had been in the same building for nearly fifty years.

 

In 1985, we were hired as the architect and designer for a major expansion and renovation of their initial office space. In 2009, we were once again called on to assist in the relocation of Cavitch to approximately 22,000 square feet of office on the top floor of the Penton Media Building in Downtown Cleveland.

 

The planning took full advantage of lake views through the board room glass wall which contained “electrified glass panels” that would provide privacy with a flip of a switch. An inviting neutral color palette, mostly paint, with bold accent walls, subtle curves, indirect lighting and clear aluminum door frames with cherry doors created a sophisticated design statement, without being  ostentatious. The space was clearly a reflection of the firm’s culture.
